Live Sessions with Dr. Jura Lasas

I started Ticking Biology because I went looking for real explanations about what happens to the body and brain in midlife, and found mostly noise. So I built what I wanted to find. Peer-reviewed neuroscience and clinical research, translated into plain language: what’s actually changing, why it affects how you think and work, and what the evidence does and doesn’t support. I work with two groups. Women in demanding roles who have noticed cognitive changes and refuse to be told it’s just stress. And organizations that would rather understand what’s happening to their most experienced people than quietly lose them. Understanding this biology is a leadership issue.

Watch the free 11-minute session first.

In eleven minutes you will understand why your confidence changed while your ability did not, and you will leave with one question you can use this week to test your own judgement against what actually happened.

It works on its own, whether or not you ever book anything.

How we handle evidence?

Every Live Session comes with its references. You get the studies by name, so you can read them yourself rather than taking anyone’s word for it.

Where the evidence is strong, we say so. Where it is still emerging, we say that too.

Some of what these sessions do is apply well established neuroscience to situations that have not been studied directly. Wherever we make that step, we say so out loud: during the session, in the guide, and in writing.

No supplements to buy. No affirmations to repeat. No subscription that quietly runs for a year. If a claim cannot be supported, we do not make it.

About Dr. Jura Lasas

I’m Dr. Jura Lasas. My background is in neurobiology with a PhD from the University of Washington, postdoctoral training at the RIKEN Institute in Japan, and more than ten years in biotech and clinical trials.
And for about two years, I was telling myself I was losing it. When perimenopause started, I went straight to the research, because reading papers is what I do. But the explanations out there were either patronizing or scientifically meaningless and neither works when your brain is wired to look for proof. That led me to metacognition research. I recognized my own experience in the data, and I built a practical framework to fix it.

I created Ticking Biology to offer the exact clarity I couldn’t find. I break down the research, I’m completely honest about where the evidence falls short, and I run every single session personally.
